The Channel of Struggle

Gate 38 exerts pressure on you, and those around you, to discover the value of one's own life. There must be a reason to exist, a purpose, something that elevates struggle beyond simply surviving. You are capable of forcefully confronting adversity itself. You actually enjoy a good fight.

Gate 38 is one of the three gates of deafness (alongside Gate 43 and Gate 57) that protects your individuality from being influenced by others. Others might experience this energy as fierce independence, a highly focused stubbornness to meet a challenge, even death, head-on. In truth, you are simply seeking a reason for living.

Gate 28's deepest fear is that life might end before one knows what makes it worth living, or what gives it meaning. This energy is stubbornly focused on listening with awareness in order to best intuit which risks will make you feel more alive and lead to struggles that bring purpose to existence.

With Splenic awareness constantly alerting you to danger, you are willing to take risks others wouldn't, to play games with life and death. You have the energy needed to redirect the self-absorbed nature of people with Channel 57-20 by prodding them to make their intuitive knowing available to others.

Channel 38-28 is the driving mutative force compelling individuation toward its ultimate expression of uniqueness. By stubbornly listening to their awareness in the now, those with this channel bring mutation in the form of a change of direction to the status quo.

There is nothing more satisfying or healthy for you, when correct, than to stubbornly stand up against the odds, or risk losing your sense of security, to fight for a cause you feel is worthwhile. Your unique struggles become examples which prod and empower others to pursue their own individuation process.

Internal stress builds when you cannot adequately explain or correctly live out the struggles you have engaged in, creating excess energy in the body. Regular exercise releases that pressure so it can move through you. This is not only healthy physically but keeps the critical connection with your intuitive awareness clear.

Rather than letting your mind choose your battles, you need to be initiated through Strategy and Authority into struggles that have value for you. This is not always comfortable or well received by others. It is a struggle to convince people that evolution is an ongoing process and that individuation is worth fighting for.
