Variable Digestion

Light

Innocence - Timing - Sophistication

Overview

Light determination is the most sophisticated and sensitive of all digestion types. Color 6 in the system, it belongs to the Upper Trigram (circumstances), governing the light conditions when eating. Whether you need direct or indirect light, and how your eating aligns with natural light cycles, determines your entire meal rhythm.

"The 6th Color - LIGHT - the most sophisticated + sensitive, related to sunlight. The 6th Color Brain System Takes in a Tremendous Amount of Stimulation." The Color 6 brain processes far more environmental input than other types. This creates both a gift and a vulnerability: refined perception when conditions are right, increased sensitivity when they are wrong.

Light determination often pairs with Shores environment (also Color 6), creating people oriented around boundaries, transitions, and edges, including where light meets dark.

Key Points

  • Light timing is ESSENTIAL
  • Most sophisticated determination
  • Sunlight relationship critical
  • Timing of eating matters more than realized
  • Tremendous sensitivity to stimulation

Not-Self Signs

  • Eating in wrong light conditions
  • Ignoring natural light cycles
  • Wrong light intensity during meals
  • Irregular timing disconnected from light

Deep Dive

Direct Light

Direct Light (Left, Tones 1-3) requires bright, clear illumination while eating. Natural sunlight is ideal. Meals should happen when the sun is up. Sit near windows. Well-lit dining spaces. Structured eating times aligned with daylight.

Darkness or dim lighting inhibits digestion. Light equals clarity and processing ability for this type. Stop eating as the sun sets. Breakfast and lunch may become your primary meals. The entire eating schedule follows when light is right.

Indirect Light

Indirect Light (Right, Tones 4-6) requires softer, diffused illumination. Not bright overhead lights. Transitional light at dawn and dusk. Candlelight. Sunset and sunrise windows. Flexible meal timing following natural light transitions.

Direct bright light can overwhelm Indirect Light types. Transitional times feel right. Evening meals are comfortable. Late dinner works. The schedule is less rigid than Direct Light because the relationship to illumination is softer and more ambient.

Boundaries and Stimulation

Light determination types take in tremendous stimulation. Managing input becomes critical. The connection to Shores (boundaries and transitions) makes sense because Light types need clear edges around what enters their awareness.

In a world of artificial lighting and 24-hour eating options, returning to alignment with natural light cycles is a profound correction. Modern life extends eating past natural light with screens and overhead bulbs. Dim restaurants may be wrong for Direct Light. Bright offices may overwhelm Indirect Light. Light determines the whole rhythm, not just what happens at the table.

Innocence and Pure Perception

The innocence keynote of Color 6 means perceiving without agenda. Receiving what is, without manipulation or strategic filtering. When light conditions are correct, this innocent perception functions as designed. The Color 6 brain system processes more environmental input than any other type, so when conditions are wrong, the distortion is proportionally greater.

"The 6th Color Brain System Takes in a Tremendous Amount of Stimulation." This sensitivity is both the gift and the cost. Right conditions produce refined awareness. Wrong conditions produce overwhelm. There is no middle ground for Light determination.
