Wet Kitchens (Left, Tones 1-3) thrive in humid, moist, green environments. Pacific Northwest, tropical locations, rainy climates. Lush vegetation nearby. Water present or flowing. Indoor spaces with plants and humidity if natural moisture is not available.

You are the active transformer, energized by moisture and greenery. Strategic about creative collaborations. The center point of community gathering. In correct operation, others observe your transformation work. You are The Observed in your alchemical space.

Dry Kitchens (Right, Tones 4-6) thrive in arid, desert-like environments. Clear air, high altitude, minimal humidity. Phoenix, Las Vegas, high mountain towns. Crisp rather than heavy atmosphere.

You are The Observer, receptive to community gathering. Comfortable in transformative spaces but passive in the creative alchemy. Open to what emerges from mixing rather than actively directing it. Dry, clean creative workspaces suit you.

Regardless of Wet or Dry, all Kitchens need community (being where people gather), alchemy (space for transformation and creativity), diversity (different ingredients coming together), and the hub position (being in the place to be).

Art studios, recording studios, innovation labs, co-working creative hubs, community centers, urban environments. Cities function as big kitchens. Kitchen people cannot thrive in isolation. Remote work removes the communal gathering. Individual offices eliminate the hub experience.

The Wet/Dry distinction is not metaphorical. Actual atmospheric humidity affects how the Kitchen body functions. Wet Kitchen types living in arid climates will feel drained regardless of how much community surrounds them. Dry Kitchen types in tropical humidity will feel heavy and sluggish even in the best creative hub.

This is one of the most overlooked aspects of environment. People assume environment is only about the social or spatial qualities of a place. For Kitchens, the physical atmosphere itself creates or blocks the conditions for correct function. Relocating to the right climate can shift everything.
